Your training stays on your iPhone.

Effective 27 October 2026

In short

Camber is made by Greg Vermaak. It has no account, no servers, no analytics and no ads. What you enter stays on your iPhone. The developer never receives it, and neither does anyone else.

What Camber keeps

Camber stores these on your iPhone to run the app:

  • Your programmes, planned sessions and schedule.
  • Workouts you log: exercises, sets, reps, weights, effort and rest times.
  • Runs you log or match from Apple Health.
  • Your settings, and the name you enter in Settings, if any.
  • When you did things in the app, such as starting a workout.

Camber has no cloud storage and doesn't use iCloud Drive or CloudKit. Its data is included in your iPhone backups if you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer. Apple handles those backups.

Apple Health

Camber uses Apple Health only with your permission, and only to:

  • Read your running workouts: date, distance and duration, to match runs to your plan.
  • Save strength workouts you finish, if you turn this on: each one as a strength training workout with its start and end time. Sets, weights and calories aren't saved. If you change or delete that workout in Camber, Camber changes or deletes its copy in Health.

Health data stays on your iPhone and in your own iPhone backups. Camber never sends it to the developer or any third party, never uses it for advertising or marketing, and never sells it.

To change access, open Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Camber.

Other features

These all work on your iPhone alone:

  • Rest alerts and the Lock Screen timer are set by Camber on your iPhone. Nothing comes from a server.
  • Reading a plan you paste or import happens on your iPhone. Where Apple Intelligence is on, Camber uses Apple's on-device model.
  • Tilting your iPhone moves a light effect on some screens. The motion isn't stored.
  • Backups and workout images go only where you send them, such as Files or Messages.

No tracking

Camber has no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or third-party code, and doesn't track you across apps or websites. Camber itself never connects to the internet.

If you turn on Share With App Developers in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may send the developer anonymous crash reports. You can turn this off there.

Keeping and deleting

Camber keeps your data until you delete it.

  • Delete a workout, run or programme in Camber to remove it.
  • Delete the app to remove everything Camber stored on your iPhone.
  • Backups you saved to Files stay there until you delete them.
  • Workouts Camber saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.
  • Turning off Health access stops new reads and saves. Runs already in Camber stay until you delete them.

The developer holds no copy of your data, so there is none to request or delete.

Children

Camber isn't made for children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new effective date before it applies.
